Re: Straw For Weed Control

In a wet season it can cause mold at the base of tobacco plants by holding moistuer around the base
A combination of heat and moisture

Strawberries are like water melons they use more water than most plants and the straw helps hold the water there for the plants

Re: MY Butz - Choquin 1609 PIPE

about all the filter does is remove some of the moisture and trap any loose tobacco from getting into the stem
I dont really see any difference in the smoking itself

Most of mine are non filter or have stingers to do the same job

Re: Bill Introduced to Further Raise Federal Taxes on Pipe Tobac

There will have to be ways around it
Clubs maybe where unprocessed tobacco is a gift to donating members
Or something similar to that I'm not sure about the laws but there will be a loophole there always is

Someway to get it from the fields to the user

Bill Introduced to Further Raise Federal Taxes on Pipe Tobac

I read this at Pipes magazine http://pipesmagazine.com/python/ If all smokers don't band together to fight taxes like this then we all will either become minor criminals or have to stop smoking. This type of tax will drive the prices of tobacco out of the reach of most or completely wipe out sales o...

Re: Fire-Cured Tobacco In a Pipe

assuming its a similar burly like Prince Albert 4 to 5 bowls should leach all the cherry flavor out

If not I would ream the bowl to bare wood and smoke the burly in it and it should clear up

If not a salt and alcohol treatment should clear it up
